Jessica was on her bunk reading when 4 officers suddenly surrounded her. They started in on her by saying, “What’s wrong with you?” “Why would you leave during count?” and “You’re advised of a ticket per Lt. Adamu.” Jessica replied, “You guys have the wrong person, I haven’t moved in an hour.”
The bay officer AND the COIII vouched for Jessica saying it was bunk 89 not 98 that left the bay during count. Furthermore, inmate eyewitnesses describe the perpetrator as a boy/girl with short hair and tattoo on her face, and Jessica has long hair, no tattoo, and entirely different build. Adamu sent word back, “You’re still getting a ticket.”
Jessica pleaded not guilty on her ticket, but still got 10 days Loss Of Privileges (no shopping, phone, tablet). She asked the disciplinary officer to roll the tape back, and he told her, “It’s hard to see where you’re at on tape, the camera quality ain’t that great, but Adamu picked you out so I gotta give ya the ticket.” The bay officer and the COIII that said they’d back her up were conspicuously absent.
So the boy/girl that skipped out on count to see the baseball game outside got away with it, and Jessica got put in the burn bag because of Adamu’s ego and spitefulness.
