- Questions/ “Heat outside is brutal-can we wait for medical in our Bay until they are ready for us? Some wait times are up to 2 hours.”. answer by Hernandez, “I’ll talk to medical about that.”
- Question/ “nonsmokers can’t find ANY place on San Carlos that is smoke-free.”. Answer/ “I’ll look into that”.
- Question/ “why does it take so long to clear count”. Answer/ “because you’re not in your seats until institutional count cleared.”. Follow up/ ” but we can’t wait an hour and a half to use the restroom”. no response.
- Question/ “Why don’t medical personnel wear masks?” Answer/ “I’ll follow up on that.”
- Question/ When is the official count?”. Answer/ “whenever the officer says it is.”
- Question/ “If an officer is inspecting a lot of cells, doesn’t he have to change gloves with each new cell?”. Answer. no. follow up/ “but they gather viruses and bacteria from each cell and spread it to the next one!”. Answer. no
- Question/ “when will you ENFORCE inmate social distancing and mask-wearing?”. Answer/ ” inmates are not required to wear them when they are out and about.”
- Only when a COIII requests it.”. response from inmate “YOUR KIDDING!”
- Question/ on the so-called deep cleaning day, you only give us one paper towel to clean the one squirt they put on the mattress, and the one squirt put on the desk. How does that constitute deep cleaning?” answer/ “I’ll look into that”
- Question/ Who do we report officers that don’t wear their mask it wear it improperly?” answer/ ” they should all be wearing them.”
