This is from an inmate on the San Carlos unit. It’s nice to hear good news once in a while.
“I would like to commend an officer for his excellent service to the well-being and safety of the inmates. His name is Marcione, and he works graveyard shift on San Carlos. All night long this man watches over a whole Bay of women with intense scrutiny. He will stand over a bed until he is satisfied that she is breathing. I am 70 years old and I sleep better knowing he is on duty. In early March on Santa Maria, a woman about my age, passed away in her sleep without the guards noticing. Her roommate woke up to a corpse. Officer Marcione deserves to be recognized for his dedication to duty.”
